Annual RPI/CPI increase

Each year from the 1st April, UK Telecom providers & mobile network operators introduce an annual price adjustment to their tariff prices for existing connection/services. This increase is based on either the Government’s RPI (Retail Price Index) or the CPI (Consumer Price Index) which are both announced between January (CPI) and March (RPI) each year. The Networks apply these published rates and an additional increase percentage of their own at the same point:

  • Fixed line services – 7.9%: 4% CPI + 3.9%
  • Vodafone mobile7.9%: 4% CPI + 3.9%
  • EE mobile9%: 4% CPI + 5%
  • O2 mobile8.9%: 4% CPI + 4.9%

We appreciate price increases are never welcome. These changes reflect increasing nationwide operating costs across all UK network providers. For questions, to discuss your AF Telecoms contract or to request a quote, email telecoms@af.farm or call 01603 881 909.
