General Inputs Team Members

I started out as a Saturday boy at Jewson when I was still at school. I held various positions for my 20+ years at Jewson, before leaving to join the then Anglia Farmers as a buyer working with Nigel Brighton on the ‘miscellaneous’ desk. Since then building materials procurement at AF has gone from strength to strength. So, I’m very happy to rejoin the team and assist Members with whatever they are building in their business.

My previous role was with a major mechanical & electrical contractor, procuring materials and hiring plant. In roles prior to that, I assisted contract managers with procurement of materials as well as the running and organising of major multimillion pound construction projects.

I bring experience from over 15 years in the building and construction and was the main contact for AF at Jewsons before starting at AF. Over my career, I‘ve dealt with a vast range of products for many projects, both large and small, and built up a wide range of knowledge on ‘all things building’.

My previous role was with an agricultural merchant in Norfolk, this meant I gained wide and varied knowledge about fencing and agriculture sundries. This also includes some country store elements such as clothing and shotgun cartridges. I also have working experience of farm life and understand the constraints and stresses of farming as I come from a family of farmers.

With AF for over 9 years now, previously I worked for each of the big 3 national builders’ merchants., So I’ve accumulated over 25 years’ experience in the industry. I’ve managed teams of varying sizes and I’m confident this new AF General Inputs team has the right skillset to give excellent service.

My background in fuel sales enabled me to develop essential customer service skills and to identify the best way to service customers; a valuable skill that I bring to AF and put into action for our Members. I take great pride that I’m helping our farmer Members during some of the toughest times they’ve had to face. From ordering a vast range of items to working with Members who just need a bit of advice, I’m here to help.
