Technology Team

I started my career at AF in 2010 and have had the opportunity to work in different parts of the business and on various different projects during my time here, from taking the lead on the initial member facing system AF interactive to getting us ready for GDPR. This diverse range of projects has given me an excellent understanding of AF and our members. Living on a farm, I also have an acute understanding of the challenges facing agriculture. I am very excited to now be in a role that allows us to give greater focus to the member facing systems.

I have been with AF for over 11 years and have worked in a variety of roles. My administrative background, positive attitude and strong efficiency skills enables me to work closely with colleagues and users to ensure system projects are planned, documented, monitored, and completed on time, ultimately leading to improved processes/system experiences for our members.

Working with and assisting users with software throughout my career has given me a keen eye for problem solving and design; I feel this gives me an edge when planning development work.

I joined AF as a Junior Web developer in 2013. Since then, I have been involved in maintaining AF’s legacy systems and in the development of the current in-house Business Management system.

Ever since I was at primary school, I have had a passion for computers. As such I have been learning about them my entire life. Since leaving high school I have completed a total of 4 computing qualifications, including my MSc in Information systems. I have over 15 years’ experience working in software development and statistical reporting roles.

Recently having started with AF, I bring with me a myriad of technical skills from the IT sector. Previously having worked in cryptography and data verification, I have several knowledge bases that meld well with my current role including data analysis, programming and development. My core skills lie within being able to analyse large datasets effectively and develop tools, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis, to create efficient workflows for regular details we undertake.
