Max Shepherd

Payroll Specialist

I started working in payroll in 2019, moving away from hospitality ad retail. I found the different processes interesting and wanted to learn more.

I soon learned how important it is to stick to deadlines while maintaining accuracy. I’ve always been interested in different calculations and am constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency.

I began running payrolls in 2021 as well as studying for a year with the Chartered Institution of Payroll Professionals in London. Studying on top of full-time work was challenging, but proved worthwhile.

At AF, I’m enjoying getting to know our AF Members and running the large variety of different payrolls.

Crissy Meades

Chief People Officer

I have the pleasure of working with all our brilliant colleagues at AF and helping them achieve their full potential.

The best part of my role is that I get to work collaboratively with our amazing staff across all areas of the business. I am passionate about ensuring all employees have both the opportunity and tools to enable them to achieve their full potential. A key focus area for my role is to ensure we can continue to attract and retain top talent across our business.

Robert Tragarz

Chef

I joined AF as chef in summer 2023, and enjoy the challenge of feeding fresh, healthy, wholesome lunches to my colleagues.

Originally from Poland, I learned most of my cooking skills since coming to the UK. I’ve worked in several well-known local kitchens, including the Kings Head, Letheringsett, The Ingham Swan and Liberty in Wroxham.

Sandie Wadsworth

Payroll Manager

I joined AF in September 2022, bringing with me over 30 years’ experience in finance and payroll roles, with the last 14 years focused entirely on payroll.

Over the last decade payroll has become a minefield of deadlines and ever-changing legislation, both with HMRC and the Pension Regulator. We have seen the introduction of Real Time Reporting (RTI), pension auto enrolment, average holiday pay calculations and for a short time the introduction of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

My years of payroll experience in these areas allow me to work collaboratively with our Members and I am 100% committed to providing the best customer service experience possible. By processing their payrolls and keeping on top of legislation changes, I take the burden away from Members, freeing up their time to focus on the day to day running of their businesses whilst helping to ensure their employees are paid both accurately and on time.

Sophie Addinall

HR Manager

As HR Manager at AF, I’m passionate about continuing to grow our happy and engaging work culture.

Although HR mightn’t be a job you’d immediately associate with the word ‘creativity’, I enjoy searching for new and innovative ways to achieve desired outcomes within my role. I help to identify and develop our most talented colleagues within the business, and support their ongoing development, watching them grow and thrive as professionals. At AF, I am empowered to not only implement new ways of working and initiatives, but I am actively encouraged to do so.
