“I’ve been selling vehicles for 12 years and have seen so many demo’s in that time. But this one really did have the “wow” factor. It’s packed with fantastic features and looks so slick.”
Green credentials
“This is a futuristic vehicle in all the right ways. It’s a vision of what motoring will be like in the future. It’s the very newest Audi model, manufactured in Belgium at their carbon neutral plant. It’s fully electric and, according to Audi, has an excellent range of 380 miles, which is seriously competitive.”
Cool comfort
“The in-car features are impressive. Audi have created a combined touch-screen so the centre console isn’t separate to the main dash. The whole screen sweeps across in a beautiful curve. The front passenger seat has its own dedicated touch-screen console, ideal for your passenger to work the sat nav, media etc so the driver doesn’t have to.
“If you make a hands-free call there are speakers in your headrest, so sound quality is superior.
“There are 8 different headlight settings, automatically configured so you have best visibility whatever conditions you’re driving in. This car can even detect driver fatigue and distraction. It lets you know when you need to find a rest stop, helping to reduce accident frequency.
“Year on year when new features come out, I think there can’t be any ways left to improve the driving experience. Yet they keep making new additions to maximise it. There are even back massagers in the front seats, for maximum comfort on long distance drives.
“It’s available in 12 different colours, including Audi’s own distinctive shades like the very smart blue I saw this vehicle in.”AF’s Greg Purling (left) with Audi’s Andrew Bannister and Helen Taylor.
What’s the verdict?
“I would definitely buy one! I took my colleague Jake Thurtle to have a look at it with me and he was equally impressed.
He said: “It’s amazing. I’m an Audi driver, so I’m a fan of them, but when Greg asked me to have a look at the new model I was very surprised by it. Compared to a lot of electric cars on the market it looks quite sporty. It has a high price tag but you get a lot of car for your money.
“The build quality is unbelievably good. It’s well designed, beautifully finished and the gadgets are second to none. It’s the future of driving! The (new) colour was beautiful and the car so stylish. If I were to buy a new electric car, I would choose this one!””
