After two and a half years gaining knowledge and insights across AF (earning the title ‘Defender of the Waste’ along the way) Dani Groom is now your AF Hub Team Leader.
“I joined AF in 2023, with over 20 years’ experience helping customers better understand products and services. I’ve worked as a Fuels, then a General Inputs Specialist, and now building and project managing the Hub to get to where it is today.
“I love helping people. I’m a fixer, and I like being able to talk with our Members to make sure they’re aware of everything we do and all the ways we can help their farm businesses."
“I was approached about becoming Hub Team Leader after being recognised for my customer service, people skills and the knowledge I’ve built up - which I feel very proud of – for myself and for our Members.”
“The Hub are a brilliant team. It’s a very positive move forward for AF. We’re a team of customer service experts - multi-skilled and drawing knowledge and expertise from nine teams within AF (so far!).
“We’re the first port of call when a Member calls in. We help with as many things as possible before passing you through to a specialist - for example livestock, crop or building materials - if you need to speak with one.”
“Things we can do for you include: place a simple fuel order, get your bins collected, speak to Finance about something in your statement pack, get signed up to myAF or AF Online, change your password, talk about your Charge Card, or give an energy meter read.
“The list of things we can do will get longer, so your list doesn’t need to.”

“And by carrying out the basic day-to-day tasks, we’ve given AF’s specialists more time to build relationships with suppliers, negotiate prices, and be available to give you expert advice. Even better, they now have time to call you: to let you know if market prices have dropped, tell you about new products, or find our if any of our contractual services such as insurance or telecoms could save you money.”
