Put paid to surprise phone bills
Overuse can ‘byte’ your budget
All mobile plans come with a fixed allowance of data each month. If this allowance is exceeded, your network provider will apply excess charges for extra data used. These ‘out-of-bundle’ charges add up fast and can cost far more than your usual monthly plan.
During busier times of year, your AF Telecoms Team tends to see an increase in out-of-bundle charges.
Simple steps for savings
All mobile phone plans procured through AF have a default spend cap of £200, meaning your bill can’t exceed this each month.
This is what else you can do to manage your bills and get even better value for money from your mobile phone contract.
- Track usage: the settings apps on both iOS and Android devices provide a handy tool to monitor how much data you’re using every month, so you can see when you’re exceeding your limits and by how much.
- Bolt on data: if you know you’re going to go over your data usage limit for a one-off reason, which is unlikely to reoccur, ask your AF Telecoms Team to add a data bolt-on. This will increase your limit for that month, until your main allowance refreshes.
- Consider a tariff change: if you’re regularly incurring out-of-bundle charges, or you know your typical monthly usage is about to increase, ask us to upgrade your tariff to include a larger, or even unlimited, monthly data allowance.
