Getting fertiliser on farm: the challenge continues

The recent delays on fertiliser deliveries mean that, for new orders, suppliers will not now guarantee delivery until May.

I’m talking with all AF Fertiliser suppliers to find out what steps we can take to improve lead times to get fertiliser on farm when you need it and at the right price.

One of the most important tools we have is knowing exactly what you’ll need for the season ahead.  Your early volume indications provide me with actual data, so I can go to suppliers with the strongest possible negotiating position.

Soon you’ll receive your AF Fertiliser Early Order Forms Spring 2025. Please do use them. you can give us the information we need to make sure you get the fertiliser you need at the price you expect.

Spring into action on grass seed

With many seeing higher temperatures and rainfall predicted in some areas, it’s an ideal time to sow grass seed.

There’s good availability for grass seed now, so whether your grass is for cutting, grazing or other amenity use get in touch for a quote or to order.

Our thoughts are turning to Autumn

I couldn’t be happier to see some warmer, sunnier days after the winter. But when it comes to procuring seed for you and other Members, I'm already thinking about what you’ll need this autumn.

During April I’ll be talking with AF Seed suppliers about availability and new varieties.

I’ll be putting together an Early Order Form for cereals and oilseed rape, and I’ll let you know when to look out for it.
