Vacancy: Senior Farm Administrator

D C West Farms are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Farm Administrator. This growing Farm business based in South Norfolk are looking for a well-organised and self-motivated individual with excellent financial, communication and administrative skills.

Reporting to the Business Directors, this diverse role will involve elements of finance, HR, health and safety and would suit somebody that can work on their own initiative across a wide range of duties, including:

  • Undertake general office administration and office duties, responding as required.

  • Maintain purchase and sales ledgers, enter invoices, raising queries with suppliers, preparing supplier payment run and contact customers for overdue receipts.

  • Maintain an inventory of vehicles, equipment, and farming inventory.

  • Assist in the preparation of staff contracts and documentation, prepare and process monthly payroll, pension, and HMRC payments.

  • Monthly bank reconciliation and VAT submissions.

  • Prepare reports for financial reporting, consulting with accountants as required.

  • Equipment Finance – obtain quotes and secure agreements, invoicing, coding and reconcile for the accounts.

  • Insurance – policy reviews, quotes, claims, renewals & ongoing updates

  • Lead on the use of technology to streamline our administrative processes and improve data collection and reporting as required by the business.

  • Support the recruitment of staff, placing adverts etc.

  • To maintain crop sales contract ledgers.

The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and ideally will have the following key attributes, although training can be provided for the right candidate.

  • Experience of working in an office and accounting environment with a solid background in administration practices.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Computer literate with good Excel and Word skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, in person and via telephone.

  • Work well as part of a team and independently.

  • Resourceful and willing to develop the role.

The role is full time, Monday – Friday but some flexibility will be considered on hours.

Competitive Salary. Pay: £40,000 per annum.
