Potato harvest is well under way, and we’re hearing from many growers that challenging soil and weather conditions this season means keeping machinery running efficiently is more important than ever.
AF Members grow around 23% of the UK’s potato crop, so we understand the demands of potato harvesting on your machinery and the importance of keeping downtime to a minimum.
Seasonal specials for spud growers
That’s why your AF Machinery Team is working closely with key suppliers to develop a range of offers on potato machinery spares, helping Members get the wearing parts you need at competitive prices.
The shares on your potato harvester must be in good condition to slice through the soil underneath the potato ridges, lifting the crop and earth upward onto the primary intake web. This season, the exceptionally hard ground means we’re hearing from Members that you’re having to replace shares more frequently than usual.
That’s why our first exclusive seasonal special offer is 15% off genuine Grimme shares:
9" share set & bolts
10" share set & bolts
9 & 10" share set & bolts
9" shares only
10" shares only.
All orders must be placed through your AF Machinery Team. Shipping charges may apply. Valid until 31st October 2026.
We’re always striving to help you get more from your AF membership by negotiating terms on additional products with suppliers.
So, if there are particular potato machinery parts you know you’ll need - now or for the seasons ahead - let us know. The more visibility we have of Member demand, the more we can work with suppliers to negotiate discounts and better terms. Whether it’s a specific wearing part, a regular replacement item or something harder to source, get in touch and we’ll look into it.
